Turmeric is fleshy root composed of a fat cylindrical rhizome tapered on both ends.
It is usually 2 to 3 " long and about 1' wide.
The interior is hard and firm ,mostly orange brown in color.
The roots grows either straight or curved.
Turmeric root can be used raw but it is generally peeld,boiled then dried and powdered..
